I recently bought a new comp from IBUYPOWER.com for my bro specifically so he could play WoW without using my comp. Sadly, WoW and many other programs won't work for some reason.
The comps got a Chaintech 7NIF2 mobo with the Nvidia Nforce 2 IGP chip in it.
What's happening are Error #132, general memory errors. It's not just the one program either.
I've switched sticks,1 or 2, I've tried many different driver versions and nothing seems to be working. The only thing suspicious I've found is that PCWizard is telling me that my memory controller is running "Standard,EDO" memory with a max module size of 32MB and a max memory size of 96MB. Considering it's got 2 512MB PC2700 sticks in it, that's definately not right. Also, under System Devices in my hardware control I have 5 separate memory controllers running. Upgrading the drivers for 1 or all 5 doesn't seem to change anything. I don't know if I have to manually change settings with the memory controller or what.
If anyone happens to be able to give me some advice I'd gladly thank you for it.
Further specs can be given if/when needed.
Thanks in advance.
