try it out of the case on a safe work surface and see if the same thing
happens. just have the cpu/heatsink, video card, ram and nothing else
installed. connect both power connections (ATX and AUX-ATX 4-pin) and see
what happens when you try powering on by shorting the two power on posts
with a metallic object.
we have seen ram that was incompatible with this board cause issues like
this and nothing shy of a different stick of ram would get you moving
forward. these boards like to run with the ram voltage up at around 2.7
anyway but if you can't get booted, you can't get into the bios setup to
change the voltage.
