Post subject: IEEE1394 controller

Hi All

I've just installed a 1394 card in my mother-in-law's new Dell PC. The card
did not come with any drivers.
WinXP-home recognizes the card and says it is ready for use.
If I look in device manager, I can see an "IEEE1394 bus host controller" AND
a "1395 net adapter". The entry for the 1394 net adapter says that the
device could not start (code 10).
The card would appear to work, as I am able to connect a camcorder to it,
and it functions properly (grab video etc).
I just wondered what the net adapter is all about.

Ta.
