SATA jumper examples:

Spread spectrum (for EMI control from the cable, effects not generally visible),
PM2 (power management, no idea what the features are),
and the cable rate forcing function (150MB/sec)
I can think of a good reason to have a "clip" jumper, but I don't know
if they support that or not.
It is difficult to get complete jumper setting tables. The label on
the drive is seldom an attempt at being complete. The "OEM manual"
can be a good source of info, if you can find it. The web pages are
somewhere in between.
