I'm using a K8V-X with an AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 512Mb DDR400, Maxtor 120Gb
133 IDE 8mb.

After searching for s-ata devices during boot the IDE harddisk stops
spinning, comes up again and boots normal to Windows XP Home SP2.

I don't think it's normal, so I swapped mainboard, memory, p/supply,
harddisk but the problem keeps coming up.

Any idea?

Werner

Extra info: with a s-ata hdd there is no problem.
