Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>msi-microstar (more info?)

I am dutch and I have just made my first PC with an MSI K9AGM3 motherboard.
I have an IDE CD-rom reader, a SATA Hatachi disk 160Gb and 1Gb memory
connected to this motherboard.
When I put the Window XP SP 2 installation disk in the CD-rom reader and
after putting power on the system it does not come with the message wait as
I am investigating your computer nor the message window set up nothing at
all.
After about 3 minutes hard work for the CD-Rom reader my computer comes with
a message: I can't find file NTLDR.
However the file is on the disk.
I have tried Windows XPsp1 and that goes fine but I donot want Windows
XPsp1.

Is there any body who can help me?????
THANKS!!!

Hello Hans; I believe the system cannot find the hard disk, double check
your connection and the jumper on your had drive.
Good luck!

Hoi Hans,

update paigna's.

Groeten, André
