I can post just fine, problem is, my keyboard isn't powering up on
boot... no lights, no nothing. I swapped out the keyboard with
another and that one doesn't work either. This is a brand new board I
just took out of the box. I made sure the PS2 plug was seated
properly, etc.

I'm hoping this keyboard isn't a dog.. I can't even fathom pulling it
out and bringing it back to the ZOO that is Fry's

Help. . . ?

Thanks

Josey

Try the keyboard on another computer, if it works then your PS2 port on the
MB may be fried and that will happen when the PS2 device is unpluged or
plugged in while the computer is on (believe me I have done it). If the
keyboard will not work in the other computer then return the fries part back
to the Zoo where they can resale the item to someone else.

I hope that this is not a new MB from fries because if it is there is a good
chance that it is not new and could have serious problems. FYI fries will
repackage items that have been return and resale the at a lower price hoping
the buyer will RMA directly to the manifacture saving fries the cost of
doing so. When you shop at fries never ever buy a product that has a
returned sticker on the box unless you are willing to make at least three
trips to the store and stand in there return line every time. MWAVE or
NEWEGG on line are cheaper and with better service although they will at
times send out repackaged products generally marked as return to manifacture
only or return for exact item only.

Josey,
Make sure the jumper PS2-PWR1 (manual page 2-Cool is on and making good
contact. I had the exact same problem. My jumper was on pins 1&2,
but had to be reseated for the KB to work after POST.
