Archived from groups: comp>sys>ibm>pc>hardware>video (more info?)

Some LCD's have a large border around them. Some don't. Which is
better? I can almost imagine that a borderless design might cause eye
strain due to the lack of focus around the edges of the display. But
I could be wrong.

Any insight into this would be appreciated.

Question about refresh rates... - Alright, with the video card and monitor that I've got, at my resolution I have some options on the refresh rate. I've got it at 85Hz right now, but I could go up to 90 or 100Hz. Is higher always better, or is 85 the ideal? Jasonite
