I'm using Norton Ghost 7, the version bundled with Norton System Works
Pro 2003. This is the first time I'm trying to use it, so I used the
Backup wizard. No problems there.

My system includes 3 SCSI drives with 8 partitions. I was trying to
create an image of the C drive and store the file in a partition on a
different drive.

This didn't work. I got an abort message 40204. Something about not
being able to find a drive with the drive specification. (the message
disappears almost immediately since the computer reboots into Windows
automatically.)

What am I doing wrong?

Since ghost 7 does all the work at the dos level, you
arent setting up the drivers for the scsi drives at the
dos level. The manual spells that out reasonably clearly.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
