If I use the Omega ATI drivers for X800 XT on WXP do I still
need to install .NET?
If so does the latest drivers need NET 2.0?

Thanks

To be clear, .NET is not required for core drivers, ATi's or Omega's. .NET
is only needed by the Catalyst Control Center (CCC). There's no need to
install .NET if you don't intend to install or use CCC.

From what I remember, Omega drivers don't include CCC, instead packing a
custom version of ATi Tray Tools, which provides all functionality except
Crossfire. You can use ATi Tray Tools with official ATi drivers as well.

Feel free to try the Omega drivers, but don't experiment with them just for
the sole purpose of avoiding .NET.
