Will the Marvell 88SR3020 SATA chip run optical storage devices with an IDE
to SATA converter? I have heard that Silicon Image ones can. Anyone tried?

Mixing SATA and ATA Hard Drives - How does the bios/win2k handle a mix of SATA and ATA drives on the 8HDRA3+, with the on-board SATA chip? Specifically, how does the bios/win2k designate which IDE slots are assigned which drive letters? Plain old IDE channels are obvious; but, what....
