Is there a way to build a connector that fools a BIOS into thinking their is a keyboard where there isnt one. i am trying to do this for a Point of Sale register which doesnt need a keyboard in normal operation. I am also open to buying one if someone has a place that sells such things.

Thanks

-Jeff

You can buy them here, both hot-swap and non hot-swap versions.

In many BIOS versions there is an option to bypass 'halt on keyboard
error'. If that's not available, building one to fool a BIOS would
probably need a microcontroller that speaks PS/2 - See

Alternatively, if you don't need hot-swap, you could use the PCB
and cable from a cheap or old keyboard.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
