SuperMicro PS6NS com2 pin to cable config - help ! ?

hi,, is someone able to confirm that the *P6NS/E MB has non standard ribbon
cable connections to com2 ?
i am having hellss own trouble connecting a modem to com2 and after many
hours the trail is leading to a non existant pipe between the MB and the
modem.
i only ask after reading this post:

of course IF it IS "non-standard" then the next thing to know is,, What IS
the pin to cable associations when using a 9pin serial connector?

The answer is in the User's Manual. As an AT-type, pre-ATX motherboard,
the pinouts for the Serial Port may be non-standard at the motherboard end.
Many motherboard makers provided serial cable kits since the back-plane
connector end is standard. There was no serial port header mobo standard
at that time. IIRC, as a best guess, SuperMicro followed the pinout config
by Intel in its 440FX motherboard since the SuperMicro and Intel internal
serial cables were interchangeable.
