You can buy the one that Panasonic sells for a zillion dollars or get
a SunPak 383 for $70 from B&H. The Sunpak won't do TTL, but I don't
know that the Pano flash will either.
Be warned: get a new Sunpak 383, there are rumors that older ones had
high trigger voltage, and that can be bad for your Fuzzy 20.
I've taken about 800 shots using the Sunpak on my FZ20 so far and it's
doing well so far.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Panasonic DMC FZ20 Flash Gun |

Thanks for that. I'll check out the Sunpak here in the UK.

Bought a new SunPak 383, and now having fun setting it up and taking pix.
Being quite a newbie to all this, my flash shots are almost always
overexposed so I've missed a setting somewhere. Do you have any
recommendations as to the settings required, both on the camera and the
flash?
TIA
Geoff

Put your camera on Aperature Priory, set the Aperature to one of the
following f-stops. Auto F/Stops F/2.0, 4.0, 8.0 (read the camera manual to
learn how)
Set the switch on the 383 to the same auto f-stop.
Pay attention to the stated distance on the flash unit. Keep the subject
within that range.

thanks for that, will give it a try. Having spent more time reading both
manuals I have more of an idea now. This is my first venture away from point
and click and there is a lot to learn!
thanks again
