Archived from groups: alt>comp>hardware>pc-homebuilt (more info?)

At Outpost.com there are #3955668 and #3608015 items. These are both 2x512
MB 400MHz, with the same latency, dual channel kits. One is $10 cheaper and
has a larger rebate. I can't see any difference in the sticks other than the
more expensive kit is a pretty red color while the other is the usual black.
There is a Patriot # for the more expensive kit but no Patriot number for
the other kit.

Is anyone familiar with this memory? Can anyone see a performance difference
between the two kits? Also SOYO recommends Kingston ram and the Kingston ram
has a 2.5 latency. Should this latency difference be an issue?
