hi guys
i've only recently encountered this problem.
it happens when am playing counterstrike... i dont know if its the game or
the pc parts that are not doin so well 2gether. the pc suddenly stops and
the monitor shutsdown.

am using a Duron 1400, MSI k7t pro v1, 2x256 PC133, LEadtek Ti4400. 30 gig
IBM

on my pci slots
have got soundblaster soundcard
network card
wireless network card

am guessing that might be some irq conflict or a dodgy HDD?? has anyone ever
experienced the same probss?

Possibilities:
* trojan (get this program: http://www.moosoft.com/thecleaner/ )
* overheating CPU (make sure the fan is running)
* faulty power supply unit
* overheating video card

as youve surmised - check your irq's. generally its not propituous to have
graphics and sound cards sharing between themselves.
The monitor shutdown sounds normal - it thinks the pc's off probably or in
standby or whatever. As already suggested - sounds also like a cpu heating
problem. Check you have good in-front and out-back fans going and a good
cpufan/heatsink combo.

hmmm...
am using a thermosonic thermoengine on a duron 1400...temps about 44C
nice temps but i dont understand y it crashes....
anwyay..may be too demanding on the cpu for an old hsf Razz
have about 10 fans in my case...HAHAHA..but never on..
so this evening turned all of them on while playing CS Razz..
hmm...seems ok...will give it a few more go's..
hopefully this is the problem..or could be just a coincidence
