I doubt it, all the PCI-X boards I've seen in the BTX size are coming
with (1) 16x PCI-X (the one video cards will use) and (2) 1x PCI-X
slots, with a varying amount of legacy PCI2.3 slots.

Same as there arent dual AGP boards, I think only one 16x PCI-X slot per
board.

Someday maybe, but not with the first generation desktop machines.

It is possible, if the mobo has 2x 16-PCIx connectors...

But even a default PCIx slot is about the same as an AGP 8x slot.

But SLI doesn't give you double the Graphic power... Even the POS SGI
card shows that even thier crappy SLI setup can't compete with the
9600.... on a bad day.

SLI is expensive and not much need for it.

Take the Ti4200, lets say it costs ya $175 when you bought it, you
added another one for $100 today. Even if it SLIed, it still wouldn't
be HALF as fast as the ATI9800 Pro which sells for $200.

You'd be better off selling the old card for $60 and buying the new
card....

And don't forget the power requirements...

PCI-X is a 64-bit, server PCI slot, PCI-express is completely different.

But we know what you meant Wink

PCI-X = 64bit slot.

PCIx is the short version of saying PCI Express

Blame the PCI group for coming up with this stupid shit name.

PS: Its the same morons (who comes up with these offical names) that
don't want companies to call USB 2.0 "USB 2.0"

Instead, its supposed to be called "USB HiSpeed" and "USB fullspeed" -
shit, I dunno something silly like that.

Can you run the new PCI express cards in SLI mode ? - Two cards running as one would need two PCI-E 16x slots, from what i read thats possible if the Mobo maker makes one like that. Or am i wrong, and if you can run two cards as one, woudl you Voodoos just got maybe 20% faster scores, anything different..

x800 pro to XT Hard mod - Guys, I have been thinking about doing this mod for some time now. I currently own a Sapphire x800 pro. It has a blue board which is different to what alot of the sapphire boards are, and in particular, most of the people who have done the hard mod have....

ATI WDM TV Audio Crossbar service failed to start - OK, this may push me over the edge... Win2k hang on boot: multiple processors w/AGP card - I recently bought an AGP card with a DVI port to use with a DVI KVM switch (also using DVI out from workstation.)
