I have one of the subject routers on my home network and have what is
probably a dumb question. How many ports does it have? I know the
simple answer is 4, but it gets more complicated. This particular
router has a WAN connector on the back, as well as 4 RJ-45 LAN
connectors. However, even with all 4 LAN connectors in use, I can
still use my laptop and upstairs computer on wireless connections
(they seem to work flawlessly). Does this mean the router will
support 4 wired AND 4 wireless connections? It seems that way to me,
but I just wanted to make sure I'm not missing something. Are there
any problems/limitations with this setup?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

I Thnik it works like this.

You can connect 4 wired computers (since there are 4 ports).

But as far as wireless connection, I don't think there is any limit.

This is as far as I know.

Michael-

Thanks for the info; that's kind of what I expected. I can go to the
setup screen and see all 6 computers (4 wired, 2 wireless), each with
their own IP. They all seem to work correctly, so that's what I'm
really concerned about.
