Post subject: Quiet Socket A CPU fan for athlon
Archived from groups: alt>comp>hardware>pc-homebuilt (more info?)

Hi Folks,

My athlon socket a is running at around 1GHz. I'd like to get a new,
quiet cpu fan for it (the old one is gummed up and noisy as hell).
Anyone have any suggestions? Don't want to spend a mint, of course.
Thanks a ton, all.

Best,
Allie

Cooling for a "new old" quiet system - Hi, I'm resurrecting an old KT7E, this time with a Duron 1.2 CPU, with 768MB of PC133 memory. The KT7E has a small HSF on the Northbridge, and this fan is really noisy. It's louder than both the CPU HSF and the power supply it seems. I'm thinking of..
