Hi there ...

My goal is simple - finding a way to read whether or not the Pentium 4 has
engaged some kind of CPU throttling. According to the i875P chipset
datasheet, it's possible by reading bit 17, at PMBASE + 10h.

I've tried using wpcredit to read the value, but I can't seem to get it to
work.

Secondly, I'm in doubt where exactly it's found. PMBASE is at offset 40-43h,
and the contents seems stick at 401h. PMBASE contains something called Base
Address, which is bit 15:7. Is it the PMBASE base address I have to add 10h
to, or is it the PMBASE offset? In any case, the THTL_STS does not seem to
go high at any time (even though, I know for sure that the CPU throttle has
been activated).

Thanks in advance!
