I have a All in Wonder X800 running in XP PRO SP2. My ATI display
driver is 6.14 and I am using 9.08 MMC. I have a COX Cable Digital HD
box. Is there anyway I can record HD content on my PC?
Thanks.

I've checked out ATI's website and unless I missed something I don't see
anything to indicate that your x800 is capable of receiving HDTV signals.
Anyhow, in doing my own research on HDTV PVR cards it seems that just about
all of them are only capable of recording off the air signals and not cable
or satellite signals.

I am not trying to use the turner to get HD. I am recording from the
Cox Digital Cable Box which receives HD. The X800 will output HD to a
HD supported display and comes with a component video block for video
OUT. So yes the x800 supports HD.

What I want to do is record directly from COX HD Digital Cable Box
into Line IN.

I have always recorded this way from the Cox digital cable box because
the result is so much better. ATI turner have mediocre quality at best
and are subject to lots of interference.

Now I have a Cox Digital Cable HD box and I want to do the same thing.
I can do the same thing but I don't think I can output HD through a
S-Video connection?

Is there a component block available for Line IN like there is for
Line OUT? If not is there anyway I can recorder HD content from my Cox
Digital HD box into my x800?

I have the same card and as long as you can input the signal to the
card then you can answer the question. Did you hook it up and try or
are you a theorist only....as opposed to empiricist.

S-video only supports standard definition so you'll need a different
approach.
