Post subject: SATA Drivers Which Drivers?
Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>giga-byte (more info?)

I'm a complete idiot....

The phrase "...get the Drivers..." is not enough information for me, I need
specific folder and driver info, files names and the like.

I've set the bios...

Advanced Bios Features SATA/RAID/SCSI Boot Order: SCSI
Integrated Peripherals: Onboard H/W Searil ATA Enabled
Serial ATA Function ATA
Onboard H/W Raid Disabled and Enabled same results
GigaRAID Function ATA

On boot it finds the one Seagate HDD drive correctly

Win 2003 Server fresh install, F6 prompt...

Drivers in Readme and on disk tells me to look for SI3113.INF and SI3113r.INF
(RAID version) and copy them to diskett.

CD Path that I took the drivers from....

\Root
- \Other
- - \SiI
- - - \Si3112
- - - - \Si3112 \ SI3113.INF

\Root
- \Other
- - \SiI
- - - \Si3112
- - - - \Si3112r \ SI3113r.INF

I then get an error missing the sys files so I copied all the files from

\Root
- \Other
- - \SiI
- - - \Si3112
- - - - \Si3112 \*.*

and

\Root
- \Other
- - \SiI
- - - \Si3112
- - - - \Si3112r \*.*

Then I get another error, Argh!

I am also confused as there are setup files in the folder

\Root
- \Other
- - \SiI
- - \Si3112\

Is there another process?

TIA

JeffP....

Sorry to have had a rant.... I just dl'd the obviously later drivers and viola'
I'm partioning, I might assume that the earlier drivers have already been beaten
up in the NG's....

This thread is dead...
