I too have purchased and built a ST61G4 with p4 3.0 and a Maxtor 120g
SATA HD. I installed twin Corsair XMS PC3200 memory cards and have had
a few unstability issues. I'm not too sure if it may be a memory
problem or a SATA problem. If the computer goes into hibernation not
all of the usb devices are recognized when it restarts. Even the built
in ones. I am running WinXP SP1 and am a little confused about the
driver for the SATA. When the system boot up the SATA driver loads and
identifies itself as a 3510 driver version 4.3.24. But in the Windows
hardware configuration, the SATA driver is for the 3112 chipset. the
system disk that came with the Shuttle has the drivers for the 3112
but the manual that came with it says it is for the Staraid Sil 3512.
Which one is correct and which one should have been loaded when?
thanks for you help.....Tony
