Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>soyo (more info?)

I believe my board is failing to report my CPU correctly. When I run
an Intel diagnostic utility from their site, it reports that it is
expecting to see a 3.2 but is only seeing a 2.79 GHZ processor.
Nothing appears adjustable in the BIOS.

When I attempt to flash the BIOS with the latest upgrade on Soyo's
site, the utility states that the ... file on the disk cannot be
updated .. or something to that effect and to make sure that I don't
have a disk error. I have tried multiple times and multiple disks.

I emailed Soyo, listing the steps I took, saying I think they have a
corrupt file, and they said that I needed to follow the steps that I
took...

Is tis something simple I'm overlooking or do I have a bad board?
