SanDisk 2gb Extreme III gives card error - In my Olympus E500, camera will report card error, I have 2 of these and the second works fine. Is there something wrong with the card? What goes wrong with them??

I purchased 2 Sandisk 2gb CF cards, they came with cd's for Sandisk Rescue,
but I don't see where there is a serial number, to type in when the software
asks for it. If the serial number was on another part of the package other
than on the sleeve which holds the cd, then I already chucked the package,
and I am out of luck?

I have it installed, when started, up pops the serial number request. Well, they said it should be on the CD. Magnifying glass says otherwise, but they sent me one to use...
