I just wonder any disadvantages of the USB wireless adapter compare PCI
wireless card. Since the USB adapter can more from one PC to another (laptop
and PC) and it is the same price.

Thanks

Hai

Hai,

Personally I prefer a USB Wireless adapter because it sits away from
the PC itself and therefore is exposed to little electrical
interference from the PC.
This maximizes the range of the wireless adapter. The only problem
with USB
adapters is that USB is limited to about 12MBPS so as long as you are
on 802.11b
networks, you are fine. Once you move to 802.11a/g then USB will limit
your
speed (I think USB 2.0 may resolve this problem).
