I have just failed to burn a ".doc " file to a CD-RW disk using Nero
v.5.5.8.0.

This file burns OK to a CD-R disk

Can anyone explain why this should occur ?

I had the same thing happen recently. I think the problem might be
a firmware one. Seems the cd makers can get ahead of what the
cd recorder is programmed for. You might want to try a different
brand of cd rw.

Its pretty well known that CD-r/w disks have anomolies that
are not totally consistent! I just about gave up useing the
burn to cd-r/w's and use CD-R's almost exclusively.
Its not my Backpack external burner! Its a Jewel of a
r/w machine. Also price for cd-r's are so cheap, I just
bought one pack of 50 cd-r's at Office Max, and got 2
addnl packs free. Thats 150 disks for a nominal $19.95
