Post subject: WDT11 and WAP11 problem
Archived from groups: comp>sys>ibm>pc>hardware>networking (more info?)

I am using a WDT11 adapter with a WPC11 Instant Wireless card inside.
I am using a WAP11 which has sucessfully communicated with other
wireless equipped laptops (also using the WPC11 card).

I have installed the drivers sucessfully for the WDT11 and all
seems to be working right with the device. However, when I try to
browse the web I recieve no signal. Inside the device properties, I
get the following Link Info:

When using Adhoc 802.11b: Link Quality: N/A
Signal Strength: N/A

When using Adhoc: Link Quality: N/A
Signal Strength: N/A

When using Infrastructure mode: Link Quality: Excellent
Signal Strength: Excellent

Even when running infrastructure mode, I can't browse the web.

Another problem is that I would like to be running in Adhoc mode
preferabley, and when the same card is used inside of the laptop, it
is runnign Adhoc mode and works just fine. Thank you for any help you
can provide.

FYI:

Windows 2000, SP3
Driver: Linksys drivers, v1.7.37.0
