Wireless Keyboard only, not mouse, stops working, hangs/stops working
after a few minutes. Can't type.

MS-Wireless Multimedia Keyboard 1.0A, product id
59119-545-4367422-00302, running on a gateway destination 450 mhz,
12GHD, Win98SE

Once I reboot, it works again, only for a few minutes. I haven't been
using it on this pc, it was on another pc, also it was stored for awhile
after a move. So, I have owned it for a few years but rarely used it.

At first (most recently) I couldn't even get it to work at all when I
initially hooked it up, even after running the software disks for it.
But something about human interface showed up after one of the reboots
and now it works but acts as I previously discussed, which is, keys stop
working after a few minutes.

Help!

When did you last replace the batteries in your keyboard?

Do a Google search with: "microsoft wireless keyboard doesn't work" and
you'll find like I did, MS sells junk!

On top of that, I have a MS Sidewinder game controller that doesn't work
either!

So, yes, I changed the batteries. Now it's time to change to Logitech
and never buy another MS product, what MS I have is going in the trash!

Slowly I'll be rid of MS, first firefox, then thunderbird, then Open
Office and NVU, As soon as Linux gets it together, bye bye Bill Gates.
If Linux can't get it on then the next pc will be Apple for sure!
