Ihave an X5DA8 mb. with two 2 gig. micros.the bios reprts the speed as
800 meg . Is that the correct reading ?
Also whats the freq. ratio for ?
Super micro says to set it at 20, is this correct ?

The book says " this setting allows you to specify the value of the
internal frequency multiplier of the processor, wich is used to
determine the processor speed."

Am I wrong to assume that you would multiply the 800, times the
frequency ratio # to set the correct processor speed ?

The multiplier defaults to 800. This is 100 FSB (core) x 8. When you
change that to 20, it's 100 Mhz x 20 = 200 Mhz or 2 Ghz. That's the
right setting. I'm a bit intrigued that the manufacturer of the
hardware gave you the answer, but you're still compelled to check
against the newsgroups. They're the definitive source of information on
hardware that they manufacture....
