Post subject: assigning IRQ's
Archived from groups: alt>comp>periphs>mainboard>aopen (more info?)

I have an i865PEa-71F mobo and I am trying to build a real time
application (I am not using windows). One of the boards in my system is
getting assigned IQR 10 by the BIOS. Unfortunatly, the EHCI and
ethernet are also getting IRQ 10 and the board will not work this way.
I've tried moving the board to different slots, but in every slot it
gets 10, except in one slot it gets 11, but then so do the ECHI and
ethernet. I tried "reserving" IRQ 10 in the BIOS, but then my board and
the ECHI and ethernet all
get 7. Is there a way I can force the EHCI, ethernet controller and my
board to all get assigned different IRQ's by the BIOS??

Thanks!
