Hi
I have 2 SATA HDDs set in RAID1 and 1 SATA DVD drive connected to Abit
AA8XE. Everything works -- except I cannot boot from CD/DVD at
startup. My BIOS options are:
OnChip IDE Device:
IDE Bus Master: Enabled
OnChip IDE-1 Controller: Enabled
SATA Mode: RAID
all the following options are not editable:
On-Chip Serial ATA: Enhanced Mode
PATA IDE Mode: Primary
SATA Port: SATA2,SATA4 is Sec.
IDE Channel 0 Master: IDE Master
IDE Channel 0 Slave: IDE Slave
IDE Channel 1 Master: None
IDE Channel 1 Slave: None
IDE Channel 2 Master: SATA1
IDE Channel 2 Slave: SATA3
IDE Channel 3 Master: SATA2
IDE Channel 3 Slave: SATA4
After POST, Intel Application Accelerator RAID Option ROM shows:
RAID Volumes:
ID=0
Name=RAID_Volume0
Level=RAID1(Mirror)
Strip=N/A
Status=Normal
Physical Disks:
Port=0 Drive=WDC ... Type=Member Disk(0)
Port=1 Drive=WDC ... Type=Member Disk(0)
I cannot find any option to change SATA ports booting order. >> Stay informed about: cannot boot from SATA DVDROM |

There's, of course, first boot device: CDROM (I tried every option
here), second boot device: HDD.
Hard Disk Boot Priority:
1. Bootable Add-in Cards
2. SCSI-0: Intel RAID_Volume0
It doesn't see DVD here. >> Stay informed about: cannot boot from SATA DVDROM |
