I'm looking for a digital photo camera which doesn't turn it self off after
x minutes, and which can be operated remotely (about 5 meters)..

The reason I ask is that I want to take pictures during hangglider flights,
where the cam is mounted on one of the wings.

The only solution I currently know of is to use an analog type of cam, but
this is rather inconvenient.

The camera specs comes second.

Any ideas?

I believe it is possible in most digital cameras to disable the automatic
shut down (turn off) feature. It is in all 3 of mine.
My Canon G5 has a remote control but I don't know if it will operate
from 5 meters away. I have never used mine and so far I haven't been
able to find in the specifications from what max distance it will continue
to operate.

my f717 has a wired remote and the sockets on it seem to be standard
minijack so maybe a standard extension could be used, also the remote is
able to power the camera up and down so the power thing wouldnt be a problem
