Far better...

Somewhat less, but it's a DX10 card. Not that it's a great choice for most
existing and forthcoming DX10 games.

It has 128bit memory interface so its a bit slower at texture handling than
the 1950
but my 8600GT had very overclockable memory. I put a Zalman VF900 with
ramsinks on mine
and clocked it to 600/900 from the default 540/700. It ran Bioshock,
Oblivion, World in Conflict
very nicely.

I then tried to voltmod it - its quite common to voltmod it and get around
850-900 on the core
but I messed up and fried my card.
Now Im buying a X1950Pro !

Its smaller than the X1950pro and has lower power consumption

www.gpureview.com is good for comparing the technical specs of cards.
