character delay with wireless keyboard

Hello All,

I recently bought a wireless keyboard/mouse combo and the space bar
was defective so I took it back.

Though when testing it, I noticed a delay between typing the
characters and the display on the screen. Is this always true of
wireless keyboards? It's not that bad an issue if you are just typing,
but if you use the keyboard when playing a game that delay is a
problem.

I don't want to keep buying and trying wireless keyboards and wondered
if the delay problem is common to wireless keyboards.
