Hi,
I got this from this group the other day:
cipher /w :\
You run it from a dos shell, and it zeros out the empty
space on the drive.
I was going to try it on an ME system, but I couldn't launch a dos window.
I searched on cmd.exe, and came up with nothing. So, either ME doesn't
support it, or I'm doing something wrong.
Any suggestions much appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike >> Stay informed about: does cipher comand work in me? |

'command' at the run line
or 'MSDOS prompt' icon in accessories

Thatks Jad, that worked. New problem, after issuing the cipher command, the
return is it isn't there, so after much looking on the web, finding a
download for win2K that wouldn't install, finally grabbed it off my xp cd.
Thing is, it's file name is cipher.ex_
It was in the i186 folder or something like that, anyhow, how do I extract
it?
Thanks,
Mike
