Jay,
I've worked witha couple of them. VERY nice so far. I had worked with
a number of the tower versions of these previously (X5DAL-TG2/Tower
case) and was very happy with them, so I had a feeling the rackmount
verysion (6013P-T) would be good as well. Right, as is usual with
Supermicro... Do you have a source for these already?

I just order 2 of them from <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.8anet.com" target="_blank">http://www.8anet.com</a> at $1025 a box. My only
worry is that if the 1U boxes can take 2 - 2.8 GHz chips and 4 SATA hard
drives with out over heating.

Jay,
Fear not. In my experience, Supermicro wouldn't ship it if there were
danger of it overheating. I've shipped many systems with dual 3 Ghz and
3 SCSI or 4 IDE/SATA drives, and have never had a heat problem.
