copy cd->hard drive->cd-r

I'm been using my plextor software to copy cd's to my hard drive then
back to a cd-r but my drive is no longer working. And now I can't
access the images of my cd's from my hard drive. Whats software
program should I use that will create an image of a cd to my hd for
later burn back to cd-r? I'm looking for one that doesn't tye me to a
particular program or hardware.
