Greetings,

Having intermittent problems with 300w Sparkle PSU and was wondering if
Corair CMPsu-620 would work with older P3b-F mobo? I really don't want
to chase old tech and figure I should buy PSU that can meet todays
demands. I would like to use this in a new system eventually but waiting
for prices to drop on DDR-3 and Asus to get the bugs out of the P5K
series. Not sure what this 20+4 pin ATX connector is all about.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
John

The 24pin ATX connector is the old 20pin plus 4 pins added. If you
can physically plug a 24 pin PSU connector into a 20 oin mainboard
socket (no high components on one side), then it works fine. If it
does not physically fit, you can get an adapter, which should not
cost more than 10 EUR/USD or so.

I can't see why not.

20+4 just means the main connector to the mother board is 20 or 24 pin. If
you look at the connector there will be a section of 4 pins that cab be
separated from the main plug that allows the connector to fit into a 20 pin
socket. The other 4 are redundant in this case.

The only way to know is to try.
