Easy switching on/off 2nd monitor and setting resolution - Hi I have a Geforce TI4600, and two monitors. Many games don't like the 2nd monitor being on, and don't like switching on the first monitor. To avoid problems, every time I play these games, I manually go into settings, disable my 2nd monitor..

Considering the BFG 6600 GT OC, have questions though - Hello, I am going with the BFG 6600 GT OC PCIE card for my newest computer build. I also the Sapphire X700 Pro card as well. I primarily play Medal of Honor and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005. Last year I had to switch to ATI cards..

TV Out Questions - I have never tried to enable TV out before, so don't hate me for asking stupid I have an Nvidia PCI 5200 card with a VGA out, a DVI out and an Svidio Now, for some time I have been running two monitors to the VGA and DVI..

Two questions, two subjects (though) - I apologize to any who feels annoyed for my asking about 2 subjects in one post, but the subjects are somewhat related. I have had an Abit Siluro GF4 Ti4200 8X, 128 MB, card for 10 months, and it been slowly dying for several months. only..

ForceWare Questions - I have some questions about the nVidia Forceware drivers that I can't seem to find the answer to. These questions relate to the and quality settings tab and are as follows 1) The Image Settings slider has High -> ->..

I have a Gigabyte 6800GT that I'm trying to salvage and use in a system
built to run Photoshop but the fan is making a very loud roaring noise which
I take to mean that it will die soon. Will the card be ok in terms of heat
if the fan doesn't run since I'm just running Photoshop? Or can I get
replacement fans for this card?

If a video card has a fan and it doesn't work, chances are any sustained
usage will bork it. Even if you don't use the rendering circuitry.

So you are better off getting a replacement fan, either one of the wee
ones that has the 2-pin connector to directly replace with minor
surgery, or you can mount a fan to blow on the heatsink, quick ugly and
effective.

try a single drop of sewing machine oil on the bearing (may have to remove a
centre sticker to access) , usually solves it for me.

The video card WILL fry itself, if you use it at all without the fan.

just get a new fan for it
gfx cooler don't cost that much ?

photoshop will hardly push that card to it's limits
it's the 3D that does that

don't run it without it's fan, it will melt

oh, you should be able to get a replacement cooler+fan for it
or even just a fan, depends if it's a standard fan, which it prob isn't
