The motherboard is described here.

http://www.amdboard.com/geode_ecs_nxs7m.html

The board has a single phase power converter. That will limit
how big a S462 processor the motherboard can handle.

There were some bundled GEODE packages a couple years back, but
I don't really remember the processors being sold separately.
Unless someone is selling their motherboard/CPU package on
Ebay, they may be hard to find at retail.

I'd try something like this as a substitute. An AthlonXP-M.
Then run it at less than its top rated speed, to help keep
the power dissipation down. Make sure to fasten a cooler to
the processor ! This processor has a 35W power rating, and
that is about all I'd expect to get from the ECS Vcore design.

I use an AthlonXP-M on a desktop board. My BIOS allows the
multiplier to be set - at least four of the five multiplier
bits. My board has an "overclock controller chip", to allow
setting the multiplier. If the motherboard is not flexible,
these links will give some other ideas. The first link shows
how to use "wire tricks" on the S462 socket, to set the
multiplier etc.
