cpu temp on KN8 SLI

hello,

MB: abit KN8 SLI
CPU: AMD 3800+ Venice (single)
RAM: OCZ platinum PC-3200 2x512 at 2-3-2-5
VIDEO: Asus GeForce EN6800 pci-x

I ran this at default settings for a few days with openSuSE 10.2 x86_64
all the utilities reported ridiculously low cpu temp: 20 C

the bios also says it never gets past 30 C. When I touch the stock HS it
never gets close to warm to the touch.

Then after an OC from 2.4 Ghz to 2.7 Ghz, the temp barely increased 1 or 2
degrees C on average.

Is this too good to be true?

I'd say so. Are you sure you were reading the proper sensors? Are you sure
your sensors.conf is configured properly? AFAIK, all the utils use
lm_sensors for info. If it's not set up properly, all utils are wrong.
What do you get with sensors? And are you sure you aren't using Cool n
Quiet, which lowers voltage and cpu speed?
