During a fresh install of XP I got a hardware device problem asking for the
cqm driver. The properties of the cqm says its on the VIA tech PCI to ISA
bridge. The motherboard CD didn't have the driver or the XP CD. The 3COM
etherlink III ethernet controller card wasn't recogized either and no driver
found. I'm not sure if this is related. Got any ideas?

Assuming you are on a KT7, not a KT7A, and are using the A9 BIOS flash

Up to date MOBO drivers should put the ' bridge ' in for you !
