Just bought one used from eBay, and it's being mean to me:

1) When I print through the parallel port, my USB mouse goes dead.
Red LED light goes off, pointer stops moving, and I have to unplug and
reconnect it to revive it. Using a PS/2 mouse I don't have this
problem.

2) Installing Windows 2000, I get all sorts of errors and crashes.
Most disturbing is an error that sometimes occurs during file
installation which states that the file just copied to my hard drive
does not match the original. I also get blue screens of various
flavors.

I updated the BIOS to the latest version from Supermicro's web site,
and I've tried three different hard drives. Anyone heard of such
problems from this motherboard? Do you think the board is just
broken?

Aaron

Follow-up: The motherboard was flaky, causing random memory errors
every few minutes. Swapping it with another P6SBM solved the problem
- now the system is perfectly stable.
