I'll install a Zalman fan on my X1900GT. Right below the PCI-e slot that it
will go, I want to install a grill-like PCI backplate so that the Zalman fan
can vent the air outside the case. What I'm looking for is something like
the grill-like backplate of the X1950 series. Do they sell such a plate??? I
checked newegg but couldn't find anything like that.

I'm sure you can find one if you look hard enough. Professional boxes like
the Quantum3D systems have such backplates. You can also buy a slot fan and
unsnap the plastic fan shroud from the slot backplate.

Of course, it's much easier to just omit the backplate altogether. Smile
