What newsgroup would you all recommend for camcorder questions please? I
can't find a decent one that is active.

I want recommendations for a cheap, compact HD camcorder and advice
regarding storage mechanism - DVD vs DV tape vs MiniDV tape.

If rec.video.desktop cannot answer your questions, they can probably
point to a group that can.

I thought that, but the group doesn't seem to have anyone home! Posted my
question there last night and no answers. Similar story with quite a few
posts in that group. Guess I will have to wander into Jessops and ask a
spotty student for help!

Typical - just as I posted here to say nothing is happening over at
rec.video.desktop, a reply arrives!
