Hello-
My parents recently bought my wife and I a Pentax
Optio 555 camera and 256mB SD Card. This camera
is giving us crappy images with pixelation and when the
flash is used, crappy color. Has anyone out there gotten
great results with this cam? For a 5.0 mp cam, I am not impressed
yet. I get much better results with no flash, but the long shutter
times mean blurry pics unless I am on a tripod.

I have set the quality to three stars and used all resolutions..

I would love to correspond with someone who is happy with this
camera, and possible receive some emailed photos to prove
to me this cam is worth the cost. (My in-laws' Cannon A230 Sureshot
gives great pics all the time and is a 3.2 mp)

Thanks.
Tim Richter

try <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.bytephoto.com" target="_blank">www.bytephoto.com</a> and under "Digital Photo Gallery", do a search for
"Optio 555".

I have the Optio 550 and after three other cameras I can say it has the best
quality I have seen.

You must have a defective unit. return it for repair. In Canuckistan Pentax
is in Mississauga
