Hi everyone,

I got the subj model of motherboard with a p4 1.8ghz processor on. For
some reason, when I try installing XP, it tells me that ACPI is not
detected, and if I skip the acpi installation (by pressing F7 at boot)
it does install, BUT: then it doesn't detect the integrated video,
sound or ethernet (it does, but for vendor, model, etc it says
"unknown" everywhere - so there is no way to install any drivers)
basically, my screen runs at 640x480 resolution and 4 bit colour
depth Sad.

I did try booting with linux, but it hangs right away or reboots
computer at the first stages of boot time (I tried live CDs such as
Ubuntu, knoppix, gentoo, etc)

Any ideas what can be wrong with the motherboard or BIOS, or what not?
I googled all over the place but nothing in particular could be found :
(

I'll appreciate any directions on where to dig regarding this subject,
or maybe just give up and dump this MoBo?

Thanks
