In the bios for this mainboard there is a 3pt. fan speed adjustment.
I've tried changing the settings and did not see any changes to the fan
speed. They are setup to allow the specified fan speed to click in at
different temperature points. The fans speed level seems to be specified
in hex. Does anybody know how to set these and what would be recommended?

isn't it voltage levels ?

There is a thread from 19-03-2005 discussing it. It seams that some
knowledge of hex is required (the comment of mcn that he doubled the
low fan voltage, wonder how he got these values in, maybe by a load
defaults).

I saw Q&C work by just setting the three temperatures. Since my cpu
temp is measured 3 degrees lower than system, I set all of them very
low.

Actually my 2 fans stop completely. Since I didn't like that, I
switched Q&C off again.

best regards

There are 3 fan speed , and 3 voltage settings.

Load "Optimized Defaults" and it will set it, with Cool & Quiet.
