I have an old k7s5a can I put in a 2600XP.
According to ecsusa.com it can with newer boards.
My board is one of the first, will it work?

I have the same model of the subject board that you have and I'm operating with an XP2400+ with no problems. You will have to upgrade the BIOS to version 02/08/09. It can take a 2600+ Xp chip if it runs at 266. That version of the chip is hard to find. Or u can run a Barton on the board, but u will have to underclock it. I am running a 2400+ on my version 1 board.
